Website Development Pricing and How Quotes Work
Every website is quoted against a written scope, so you pay for what your business actually needs. This page explains what shapes the price, what a quote includes and what's billed separately, before you ever speak to us.
Request a quote for your type of project
We don't publish fixed packages yet, because a "five-page website" can mean very different amounts of work. Choose the closest project type and send a few details; the quote you receive lists every inclusion.

Request a quoteWhat decides the price of a website
These are the factors we'll ask about. Knowing your answers in advance makes your quote faster and more accurate.
| Factor | Why it affects the price | What we'll ask |
|---|---|---|
| Pages and sections | Each unique page needs planning, layout and content setup | Which pages do you need? Which are similar? |
| Design approach | Custom design takes longer than adapting a theme | Do you have brand guidelines? Sites you like? |
| Content | Writing and editing copy is significant work | Will you provide text and photos, or do you need them? |
| CMS needs | Editable layouts take more setup than fixed pages | What will your team update, and how often? |
| E-commerce | Products, payments and shipping add build and testing time | How many products? Which gateway and couriers? |
| Forms and integrations | Each connection to another system needs building and testing | Which tools should the website talk to? |
| SEO deliverables | Foundations are included; extra content and audits are not | Do you need keyword research or extra guides? |
| Hosting and maintenance | Ongoing costs that continue after launch | Do you already have hosting? Who will maintain the site? |
What your quote includes
- The list of pages and features in scope
- Design approach and number of review rounds
- SEO foundations: titles, descriptions, URLs, sitemap, schema
- Mobile, form and speed testing
- Launch on your domain and hosting
- Handover of every login, in your name
- Timeline and payment milestones
- Whether GST applies
What's billed separately
These costs are paid to other providers or quoted on their own, and we list them so there are no surprises:
- Domain registration and yearly renewal
- Hosting and business email
- Premium themes, plugins or app subscriptions
- Payment gateway and courier fees
- Paid stock photos or illustrations
- Ongoing SEO and maintenance plans
- Advertising spend, such as Google Ads
Payments and changes
Payment milestones are agreed in your written proposal before work begins. The number of review rounds is also set in your scope, and new requests that fall outside it are quoted before we do them, so the price you agreed doesn't change without your approval.
How to get an accurate quote quickly
- Your business and what you sell
- The pages or features you need
- Two or three websites you like, and why
- Whether you have a logo, text and photos
- Your current website address, if you have one
- Your ideal launch date
What do websites cost in India generally?
Published 2026 guides give a rough market picture. Hostinger India's guide (updated February 2026, excluding GST) lists small business websites at about ₹10,000 to ₹80,000, professional business sites at about ₹80,000 to ₹1,50,000 and agency-built e-commerce sites from about ₹1,50,000 to ₹4,00,000 or more.
These are third-party estimates, not our prices. Our website development cost guide explains the ranges, the sources and what drives them.
Pricing questions
Why don't you show fixed package prices?
Because two websites with the same number of pages can need very different amounts of work. A fixed package either overcharges simple projects or leaves out things complex ones need. A scoped quote is fairer and clearer.
Are there any hidden costs?
No. Your quote lists what's included, and recurring costs such as domain, hosting and licences are listed separately with who they're paid to, so you can see your total yearly cost.
Can you work within a fixed budget?
Often, yes. Tell us your budget and we'll suggest what can be delivered well within it, or a phased plan that starts with the most important pages.
Do you charge for the quote?
No. Discussing your requirements and sending a written quote is free, and there's no obligation to go ahead.
Does the price include GST?
Your quote states clearly whether GST applies and whether amounts include it.
